About this Nepal trip

Nepal is the easiest Himalayan escape from India — no visa, rupees widely accepted, familiar food and warm people. Spend two days among the stupas and Durbar Squares of the Kathmandu Valley, including evening aarti at Pashupatinath and the medieval lanes of Bhaktapur. Then fly to Pokhara to paddle across Phewa Lake, watch sunrise light up Machhapuchhre and the Annapurnas from Sarangkot, and, if you're feeling brave, paraglide over the lake. An Everest mountain flight can be added on your last morning.

What ID do Indians need for Nepal?

No visa is needed. A valid Indian passport or Election Commission voter ID is accepted for air travel. Children under 15 can travel with a birth certificate or school ID alongside a parent.

Can I use Indian rupees?

Yes, Indian rupees are widely accepted. Many shops refuse ₹2,000 notes, so carry ₹500 and smaller. UPI also works at many outlets in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Will I feel the altitude?

No. Kathmandu is about 1,400 m and Pokhara about 820 m, so altitude sickness is not a concern on this tour.

Is the Everest flight worth it?

On a clear morning, yes — the one-hour flight runs along the Himalaya with every passenger getting a window seat. Flights are weather-dependent and refunded if cancelled.

Is the trip suitable for elderly parents?

Yes. There is no trekking, the domestic flights save long drives, and we can arrange wheelchair support at airports.
