About this Mathura, Vrindavan & Braj Yatra trip
Braj is where Krishna was born and grew up, and Mathura, Vrindavan, Govardhan and Barsana each hold a part of his story. This four-day trip from Delhi starts at the Krishna Janmabhoomi complex and Vishram Ghat in Mathura. You then stay in Vrindavan, close to Banke Bihari, ISKCON, Radha Raman, Nidhivan and the illuminated Prem Mandir. On day three you do the Govardhan parikrama by car and e-rickshaw with stops at Radha Kund and Mansi Ganga, then climb to the hilltop Radha Rani temple in Barsana and visit Nand Bhawan in Nandgaon. On the way back to Delhi you can stop in Agra for the Taj Mahal. Vegetarian meals throughout, a private car and a local guide in Vrindavan.
Krishna Janmabhoomi, Vrindavan's temples, Govardhan and Barsana — with an optional Taj Mahal stop on the way home.

Frequently asked questions
What are Banke Bihari's darshan timings?
They change between summer and winter and on festival days, and the temple closes in the afternoon. The curtain is drawn every few minutes during darshan. Our guide plans your visit around the current timings.
Can we do the Govardhan parikrama on foot?
Yes. The full parikrama is about 21 km and many devotees walk it barefoot, often overnight. We include the car and e-rickshaw version by default and can arrange a walking parikrama with a guide on request.
Is Krishna Janmabhoomi security strict?
Yes. Phones, bags, pens, chargers and even some food items aren't allowed. Leave everything in the car and carry only your ID and some cash.
Is the trip good for Holi?
Braj Holi lasts more than a week, with Lathmar Holi in Barsana and Nandgaon and Phoolon wali Holi at Banke Bihari. Crowds can be overwhelming and women travellers should stay in groups. Ask us for our Holi-specific departure.
Can we start from Agra or Jaipur instead?
Yes. Mathura is 1.5 hrs from Agra and about 4 hrs from Jaipur, and we can reroute the car.
