1.Policy at a glance
Cancel 30+ days before departure: 90% refund · 15–29 days: 75% · 7–14 days: 50% · under 7 days: no refund. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 7–10 working days.
| When you cancel | Refund of amount paid |
|---|---|
| 30 days or more before departure | 90% |
| 15 – 29 days before departure | 75% |
| 7 – 14 days before departure | 50% |
| Less than 7 days / no-show | No refund |
“Days before departure” is counted from the date we receive your cancellation request to the start date of the departure you booked. The percentage applies to the total amount you have actually paid for the booking, including GST.
2.How to cancel
- Sign in and open My Account → Bookings. Choose the booking and select Cancel booking. You will see the exact refund amount before you confirm.
- Or write to fonixworldtravels22@gmail.com from the email used for the booking, quoting your booking number (format FW-YYYY-XXXXXX).
- A cancellation confirmation and the refund amount are emailed to you immediately.
Cancellations are accepted only from the lead traveller or the account that made the booking.
3.Refund timelines
- Refunds are initiated within 2 working days of the cancellation being confirmed.
- Money returns to the original payment method (UPI, card or net banking) within 7–10 working days; your bank may take a little longer to show it on the statement.
- We do not refund in cash or to a different account, to protect you from fraud.
- Unpaid (pending) bookings carry no charge and simply lapse when cancelled.
4.Non-refundable components
Some costs are paid to third parties on your behalf and are refunded only to the extent the supplier refunds us:
- Visa fees, embassy/VFS charges and insurance premiums once an application or policy has been filed.
- Flight tickets — refunded per the airline's fare rules; low-cost and promotional fares are often non-refundable, and airline cancellation charges apply.
- Train tickets, permits (e.g. Kailash, Char Dham, inner-line permits), and special-event or peak-date hotel stays marked non-refundable at booking.
- Membership plan fees once membership benefits have been used.
Where a trip includes such components, the refund is the slab percentage of the remaining amount after these costs.
5.Date changes & name changes
- Contact our desk before cancelling — where seats allow, we can move you to another departure of the same trip instead of applying the cancellation slab.
- Any fare difference on the new date, and airline or hotel change fees, are payable by you.
- Name corrections are free where suppliers allow; airline name changes follow airline rules.
6.If we cancel or change your trip
- If we cancel a departure (for example for low group size, safety advisories or force majeure), you can choose a 100% refund or a free move to another date.
- If a significant part of the itinerary changes before departure, you may cancel with a full refund of the land package.
- Disruptions caused by weather, natural events, strikes, government orders or airline schedule changes are outside our control; we will help rearrange services and pass on every refund suppliers give us.
7.Unused services
No refund is due for services you choose not to use once the trip has started (missed sightseeing, meals or nights), or for early departure from a tour. Where a supplier refunds an unused service, we pass that amount on.
8.Taxes and invoices
Tour packages are billed with GST at 5%. When a booking is cancelled or refunded, a credit note is issued against your original GST invoice for the refunded amount.
9.Questions & disputes
If you think a refund has been calculated incorrectly, write to us within 30 days of the cancellation. We reply within 2 working days and resolve within 15. This policy is governed by Indian law, with courts at Hyderabad having jurisdiction. See also our Terms & Conditions.
