About this Araku Valley & Vizag trip
Araku is the hill escape Hyderabad travellers keep coming back to — close, affordable and genuinely beautiful. You fly or take an overnight train to Visakhapatnam, then board the Kirandul passenger's vistadome coach for a slow climb through 58 tunnels and over countless bridges into the Eastern Ghats. In Araku you'll visit the Tribal Museum, Araku Coffee Museum, Padmapuram Gardens and Galikonda viewpoint, and watch a Dhimsa dance by the local tribal community. The drive back to Vizag stops at the million-year-old Borra Caves and the coffee plantations of Ananthagiri, finishing with an evening on RK Beach.
A Hyderabad favourite: vistadome train to Araku, Borra Caves, coffee museum and Vizag's beaches.

Frequently asked questions
How do we get from Hyderabad to Vizag?
Direct flights take about 1 hour 15 minutes; overnight trains like the Godavari Express or Garib Rath take 12–13 hours. We can book either at actual cost.
What if vistadome seats are sold out?
Vistadome seats sell out fast on weekends. We book as soon as you confirm; if unavailable, we use AC chair-car or drive up the ghat road with stops at viewpoints.
Is Araku cold?
December–January nights can drop to 5–8°C. The rest of the year is pleasant at 15–28°C.
Are the Borra Caves suitable for seniors?
There are steps and uneven, sometimes wet surfaces inside. Seniors can manage at a slow pace with support; avoid if you have knee issues.
