About this Goa trip
Goa is two holidays in one — the buzzing beach shacks and night markets of the north, and the palm-quiet coves and whitewashed churches of the south. This five-day plan gives you both: three nights near Calangute for Baga, Anjuna and Chapora Fort, a Mandovi river cruise and the UNESCO churches of Old Goa, then a final night in South Goa where Palolem and Colva move at the gentle pace locals call susegad.
Beach-hop the north, cruise the Mandovi at sunset and slow down on the palm-quiet sands of the south.

Frequently asked questions
Which airport should we fly into?
Both work. Mopa (Manohar International) is closer to North Goa; Dabolim is closer to Panjim and the south. Our transfers cover either at no extra cost.
Is Goa good during the monsoon?
Yes, if you like green landscapes and waterfalls like Dudhsagar. Beaches are rough and most water sports pause from June to September, but hotel rates drop by up to 40%.
Can we swim at every beach?
Swim only between the red-and-yellow lifeguard flags. Palolem, Colva and Calangute have lifeguards in season; avoid swimming at Vagator rocks and after dark.
Is this suitable for families with kids?
Very. South Goa's beaches are calm and shallow, and we can swap night markets for a dolphin trip or a visit to the Goa Science Centre.
Can we rent scooters?
Yes, from about ₹400 a day. You need a valid licence and helmets are compulsory. We recommend the private car for long sightseeing days.

Great family holiday
The kids loved it and the itinerary had the right pace for us. One hotel was a little far from the centre but the team sorted out cabs for us.
