About this Karnataka trip
Karnataka moves from royal Mysuru to the misty coffee estates of Coorg, the lace-like Hoysala temples of Belur and Halebidu, and the boulder-strewn ruins of Hampi, capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. This eight-day route finishes close enough to Hyderabad that you can drive home if you'd like — or catch a flight from Hubballi or Bengaluru.

Frequently asked questions
When is Mysore Palace lit up?
The palace is illuminated on Sundays, public holidays and during Dasara from 7 to 7:45 pm. We try to plan your Mysuru night on a Sunday.
Can we end in Hyderabad by road?
Yes. Hampi is about 380 km from Hyderabad. We can arrange a one-way drop for an extra charge.
How much walking is there in Hampi?
The site is spread over 25 sq km. We drive between clusters, but expect 6–8 km of walking on the main day. Battery carts run to Vittala Temple.
Is Coorg good in the monsoon?
It's lush but very wet from June to September, and some falls get closed off. October to March is ideal.
