Is rafting safe for non-swimmers?
Yes. Licensed operators provide life jackets, helmets and a safety kayaker. The minimum age is usually 14, and rafting is suspended in the monsoon (July to mid-September).
Is Rishikesh a dry town?
Yes. Rishikesh and Haridwar are vegetarian and alcohol-free by local rule. Expect superb vegetarian food.
How long is the Rishikesh to Nainital drive?
About 260 km, 7 hours. We leave after breakfast with a lunch stop on the way.
Can we add Jim Corbett?
Yes. Corbett is on the way to Nainital. Add a night and a jeep safari (permits book out early).
