Better rates than the airport counter
Airport counters and last-minute bank withdrawals are where travellers lose the most money: wide buy-sell spreads, flat fees and poor card conversion rates. We compare live quotes from our partner RBI-authorised dealers and offer you the best one before you commit. There is no surprise margin later.
Most travellers do best with a mix: a small amount of cash for taxis, tips and street food, and a pre-loaded forex card for everything else. Card rates are locked when you load the card, so the rupee moving during your trip doesn't change what you have already loaded. The card is chip-and-PIN protected and can be reloaded online while you are abroad.
All purchases are made under RBI's Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS), with your PAN and the A2 form as required. We prepare the paperwork, explain any TCS that applies to your total foreign spend in the financial year, and deliver currency or a card to your home or office, usually the same day.

What you need to buy forex
RBI rules require KYC for every forex purchase under LRS. Keep these documents ready to make delivery faster.
Mandatory documents
- Valid Indian passport (self-attested copy)
- PAN card, which is mandatory for all LRS transactions
- A2 form and LRS declaration (we prepare them)
- Payment from your own bank account (no third-party payments)

Rules to know
- Resident individuals can remit up to USD 2,50,000 per financial year under LRS
- You can carry up to USD 3,000 equivalent in cash per trip for most countries. The rest should be on a card
- TCS may apply once your total foreign spend in a financial year crosses ₹10 lakh, and can be claimed against your income tax
- Declare foreign currency over USD 5,000 in cash (or USD 10,000 total) to Indian Customs when you return
