Frequently asked questions

Is the houseboat private?

Yes. You get a private bedroom houseboat with a crew of three — captain, cook and helper. The AC typically runs from 9 pm to 6 am, as is standard in Alleppey.

Can we see wild animals at Periyar?

The boat safari often shows elephants, gaur, sambar and plenty of birds. Tigers live in the reserve but are rarely seen. The first boat at 7:30 am has the best chances.

Is Munnar cold?

Days are pleasant at 18–25°C; nights drop to 10°C in December and January. A light jacket is enough.

Can the driver speak Telugu?

We try to assign a Telugu- or Hindi-speaking driver for Hyderabad guests. All our drivers speak basic English.

Is vegetarian food easy to find?

Very. Kerala sadya is fully vegetarian, and houseboat cooks will prepare veg or Jain meals on request.
