Rajasthan is India at its most theatrical. This eight-day route begins in Jaipur with Amber Fort and the honeycomb façade of Hawa Mahal, drives south via the ramparts of Chittorgarh to the lake city of Udaipur, crosses the Aravallis past the marble Jain temple at Ranakpur to Jodhpur's Mehrangarh Fort, and ends deep in the Thar at Jaisalmer — a living sandstone fort by day and a desert camp under the stars by night.

Frequently asked questions

How long are the drives?

Most days have 4–6 hours on the road on good highways, broken by sightseeing. The longest stretch is Jaipur to Udaipur via Chittorgarh.

Is the desert camp comfortable?

Yes. Swiss tents have proper beds, attached bathrooms with running water and electricity. Nights in December–January can drop to 5°C, so blankets are provided.

Can we fly back from Jaisalmer instead?

Jaisalmer airport has limited seasonal flights. Jodhpur has year-round connections; we will advise based on your dates.

Is Rajasthan good for elderly travellers?

Yes, with care. Amber Fort has jeep access, Mehrangarh has a lift, and we can keep camel rides optional.

Is it too hot in summer?

April to June regularly crosses 42°C. We recommend October to March; if you must travel in summer, we shift sightseeing to mornings and evenings.
