Turkey straddles Europe and Asia, and you feel it everywhere — in Istanbul's domes and spice markets, on a Bosphorus cruise between continents, and in the surreal valleys of Cappadocia, best seen from a hot-air balloon at dawn. This seven-day trip gives Istanbul four nights to do it properly, then flies to Cappadocia for two nights in a cave hotel with the balloon flight, Göreme's rock churches and an underground city.

Frequently asked questions

Do Indians need a visa for Turkey?

Yes. Most Indian travellers apply for a sticker visa through the Turkish visa centre. If you hold a valid US, UK, Schengen or Irish visa or residence permit, you can apply for a Turkish e-visa online instead. We advise which route applies to you.

What if the balloon flight is cancelled?

Flights are cancelled by the authorities in high winds, roughly 10–20% of mornings in winter. We plan the flight on your first Cappadocia morning so the second can be a backup; if both are cancelled, the balloon cost is refunded.

What is the dress code in mosques?

Cover shoulders and knees; women cover their hair. Shoes come off at the door. Visits pause during the five daily prayer times.

Is vegetarian food easy?

Yes. Turkish breakfasts, mezze, lentil soup, gözleme and pide all have vegetarian options, and Istanbul has Indian restaurants.

Is the balloon ride suitable for seniors and children?

Children usually need to be at least 6 and fit enough to stand for an hour. Seniors are welcome if they can climb into the basket. Pregnant guests cannot fly.
