About this South Africa trip
South Africa combines a world-class city break and a real Big Five safari in a single holiday — and Indians receive their visas free of charge. Four nights in Cape Town cover the cableway up Table Mountain, the dramatic Cape Peninsula drive to Cape Point, the African penguin colony at Boulders Beach and a day in the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek winelands. Then fly north-east for three nights in the Kruger region, with open-vehicle game drives for lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo, and a day on the Panorama Route above Blyde River Canyon, before a final night in Johannesburg.
Table Mountain, penguins at Boulders Beach and lions on a Kruger game drive.

Frequently asked questions
Do Indians need a visa for South Africa?
Yes. Indian passport holders apply for a tourist visa through VFS Global; South Africa does not charge Indian nationals a visa fee, though a VFS service charge applies. Allow about 2–3 weeks. We guide you through the documents.
Are there direct flights from India?
Currently most travellers connect through Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Addis Ababa, Nairobi or Mauritius, taking 13–16 hours in total.
Is the safari safe for children?
Yes. Game drives are in guided vehicles and lodges are fenced or guarded. Some private reserves set a minimum age (often 6) for game drives, so tell us your children's ages and we choose a suitable lodge.
Do I need malaria tablets for Kruger?
Kruger is a low-risk malaria area. Consult your doctor; many travellers take prophylaxis during the wet season (November to April). Repellent and long sleeves in the evening are recommended year-round.
Will we definitely see the Big Five?
Sightings are never guaranteed in the wild, but Kruger and its private reserves offer some of the best odds in Africa, especially for lion, elephant, buffalo and rhino.
Is Indian food available?
Easily. South Africa has a large Indian community and Cape Town and Johannesburg have many Indian restaurants. Lodges cater for vegetarian diets on request.
