Frequently asked questions

Do Indians need a visa for Egypt?

Yes. Indian passport holders can apply for an Egypt e-visa online; we fill and file it for you. You need a passport valid for at least six months from arrival.

Is vegetarian food easy to find?

Yes. Egyptian cuisine has plenty of vegetarian staples such as koshari, ful and falafel, and we arrange Indian vegetarian meals in Cairo and on the cruise on request.

How hot does it get in Luxor and Aswan?

From October to April, days are 22–30°C and pleasant. From May to September, Upper Egypt regularly crosses 40°C, so we start sightseeing at dawn.

Can I go inside the Great Pyramid?

Yes. Entry into the Great Pyramid is a separate ticket bought on the day. The passage is steep and narrow, so it is not recommended for anyone claustrophobic or with knee trouble.

Is this tour suitable for senior citizens?

Yes. The pace is relaxed, the cruise does much of the travelling and we use vehicles to the temple gates. Some tombs involve stairs and slopes.
