About this Prague, Vienna & Budapest trip
Three of Europe's best-preserved capitals sit within a few hours of each other by train, which makes this one of the easiest multi-country holidays in Europe. Prague gives you Gothic spires, the castle district and a day in fairy-tale Český Krumlov. Vienna is all palaces, coffee houses and music, with Schönbrunn and St. Stephen's Cathedral at its heart. Budapest closes the trip with a Danube cruise past the floodlit Parliament and a soak in the Széchenyi thermal baths. You travel between cities on comfortable inter-city trains, so there are no airport queues mid-trip, and every hotel is central enough to walk to the old town.
Charles Bridge at dawn, Schönbrunn Palace, a Danube cruise past the Budapest Parliament and the Széchenyi thermal baths.

Frequently asked questions
Which visa do I need?
One short-stay Schengen visa covers all three countries. Prague and Vienna get three nights each, so you apply to the country you enter first, which is the Czech Republic (through VFS). We prepare the documents and checklist; apply 6–8 weeks before travel.
Are there direct flights from India?
There are no direct flights from Hyderabad. Most routes connect through Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi or Istanbul and take 12–15 hours including the stop.
Do these countries use the euro?
Only Austria. The Czech Republic uses the koruna and Hungary the forint, though cards are accepted almost everywhere. Carry a forex card and a little local cash.
Is the trip suitable for senior citizens?
Yes. There are no long drives and trains are comfortable, but old towns involve a lot of walking on cobblestones and some steep streets near the castles. We can add taxis where needed.
Is vegetarian food easy to find?
Yes. All three capitals have Indian restaurants, and most cafés offer vegetarian options. Jain meals need advance notice, which we arrange.
