Hong Kong SAR & Macau SAR
Victoria Peak, Disneyland and a Macau night
About Hong Kong SAR & Macau SAR
Hong Kong is one of the world's great city breaks: a vertical skyline packed between green mountains and a busy harbour, with world-class shopping, theme parks and food at every price point. An hour away across the Pearl River estuary, Macau adds a completely different flavour, with Portuguese colonial squares and churches alongside the glittering casino resorts of the Cotai Strip.
Our five-night package covers both. On Hong Kong Island you ride the Peak Tram to Victoria Peak for the classic view over the harbour, cross to Kowloon on the century-old Star Ferry and watch the Symphony of Lights show along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront. A full day at Hong Kong Disneyland suits families and first-timers, and Ocean Park adds giant pandas, an aquarium and thrill rides on the south side of the island. On Lantau Island, the Ngong Ping 360 cable car carries you over the mountains to the giant Tian Tan Buddha and the Po Lin Monastery.
The trip finishes with Macau, reached by the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge or ferry. Walk up to the Ruins of St Paul's and through Senado Square, sample Portuguese egg tarts, and spend the evening on the Cotai Strip, where hotels such as The Venetian have indoor canals and shows. Hong Kong and Macau are easy, safe and efficient, ideal for families with children, couples and shoppers. Public transport is excellent, signage is in English, and Indian restaurants are easy to find, especially around Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon. Allow time for shopping in Mong Kok and the night markets, which are an attraction in themselves.
