Paris to Rome via the Alps in 13 days
About France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy
This is the classic European tour that many Indian families dream about for years: seven countries in thirteen days, from Paris to Rome via the Swiss Alps. It begins in Paris with the Eiffel Tower, a Seine river cruise, the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées, and the Louvre's glass pyramid. The coach then rolls north through Brussels, with the Grand Place and the Atomium, to Amsterdam for a canal cruise, a cheese and clog farm and, in spring, the tulip gardens of Keukenhof.
From the Netherlands the route follows the Rhine to Germany, where Cologne Cathedral's twin spires rise over the river, and continues to the Rhine Falls near the Swiss border. Switzerland is the heart of the tour, with three nights based around Lucerne and Interlaken. Excursions go up to Jungfraujoch, the 'Top of Europe' at 3,454 metres with its Ice Palace and glacier views, and to Mt Titlis, where the rotating Rotair cable car and the Cliff Walk are favourites, plus time to wander Lucerne's Chapel Bridge and Lion Monument.
Crossing into Austria, Innsbruck offers Alpine streets and the Golden Roof before the coach takes the Brenner Pass into Italy. Venice is explored by water taxi and on foot around St Mark's Square, with an optional gondola ride; then come the Leaning Tower of Pisa and Florence's Duomo, and finally Rome, with the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain and Vatican City. A Hyderabad-based tour manager travels with the group, Indian meals are served on most days, and we prepare your Schengen visa file.

Insider tips
- Apply for your Schengen visa early: appointments at VFS Hyderabad can be scarce in peak season, and you can apply up to six months before travel.
- Pickpocketing is common around the Eiffel Tower, Rome's Termini station and Venice's crowds; use a cross-body bag and keep passports in the hotel safe.
- Carry a universal adapter: most countries use Type C/F plugs, Switzerland uses Type J and Italy Type L.
- Pack layers, a rain jacket and comfortable walking shoes; it is cold on Jungfraujoch and Titlis even in July.
- Expect city tourist taxes to be paid directly at some hotels, and many shops to be closed on Sundays.
Pack these

- Universal travel adapter (Type C/F/J/L sockets)
